Tile Coasters

This was such a fun and easy project to make!
I cannot wait to make more! The tiles cost 16 cents each! Love it. I learned how to make them and got the idea from Blueprint Crafts. They have a great tutorial on how to make them. Also, I tested them out and they really do work.
I wanted to make sure the clear acrylic spray that I used
to seal them worked before I gave them away as presents. That would be ackward :)

Cross Stitch Organization

A few years ago I realized I needed some way to organize my cross stitch patterns. They were growing and multiplying and I didn't have a good system for them.
And frankly, I LOVE organizing.
The best part is that you probably have all of the supplies if not all of them at your house already.
 It's simple but effective.
All you need is a 3 prong folder and clear
plastic sleeves. That's it!
Here are some photos....

I store my finished cross stitches that I haven't framed yet,
in a plastic bag in the front pocket.
Seven Thirty Three was nice enough to share these free Halloween Topper's with us. Cut them out, fold in half
and afix to the top of a bag. They are made to fit
perfectly over a zip lock bag! So smart.

Easy Halloween Centerpiece

Here is a super duper easy Halloween centerpiece
that only uses 3 items. Wine Glass (or another kind of
glass), candy corn and a votive candle.
Thanks Poppies at Play for the great idea!

Witch's Shoe

I actually made these adorable witch's shoes last year for the Young Women at church. Well not just me, we had about
3 people assembling them. They were really easy to make, especially if you are only making a few.
Here is the Template from Skip to my Lou.
My friend made some last year for her families Halloween party and put them on the tables. Very good idea!

Ribbon Pumpkins

I am a big fan of easy. So therefore I'm a big fan of these pumpkins that The Crafting Chick made after seeing something like them in Potterybarn. Just add ribbon!

Halloween Cupcake Toppers

The Crafting Chicks are helping us out again with the
free printables! Here are some cupcake toppers.
It says on the blog to just right click the images,
save them and print them. Thanks for sharing!

Trick or Treat Banner

The Crafting Chicks just put the cutest Trick or Treat Banner on their blog and they gave us the file so we can print
it out and make it ourselves! Love that!!
Please visit their site for the tutorial. Here is the free file. http://www.4shared.com/photo/p_LGLQMJ/trick_or_treat_banner_letters.html
Oh and did I mention, no Cricut required to make it!

Baby Shower Banner

I threw a triple baby shower this week and needed
a gender neutral banner for the fireplace.
I made this one using my Cricut and the cartridges
George and Basic Shapes and Zooballoo.
I am definitely storing this away for the next baby shower.

Halloween Decoupage Frame

It's not very often that I decoupage something
that's not a Character. Tonight was exciting!
I found this frame a few weeks ago at a thrift store and haven't been able to decide what to do with it. I actually have 2 of these frames. So first, I spray painted it black.
Then, I got inspired by some of my dollar
spot Target scrapbook paper.
Now I'm stuck again and can't quite decide what do with it. So....please tell me what you think. I was thinking of putting a vinyl image in the middle or words....not sure.
Please leave me a comment with your ideas!!

Here are some upclose photos of the paper.
It has some glitter in it too, love it!

Spooky Banner

Here is my Spooky Banner for Halloween that
I made tonight! It was super easy and I love it!
I used paper from Target's Dollar Spot and some black cardstock I already had. The ribbon is from Paper Trey Ink. The paper has a swirl pattern with glitter mixed in. Until about a year ago I hadn't tried the paper from Target's Dollar Spot, it comes 8 for $1.00. It's super thin but soooo cute and really works great for any project I am doing. I even decoupaged with it (you will see that later) and it held up.

I used my Cricut to make this banner with the
 George and Basic Shapes Cartridge.
This could easily be made without a Cricut though.
Find a circular shape in your home and use it for
your circles. Print out the letters on your
computer, cut them out, put it together and your done!

Thrifty Halloween Art

Ok this is right up my alley.
My Blonde Ambitions found two great frames at a thrift store and turned them into Halloween genius! The best part?
You can put something else in the frames when it's not Halloween. To make it? Just print off a Halloween image, cut it out and put it against cute paper. I mean does it get easier than that? Nope. It sure doesn't!

Before

New take on vintage washboard

Infarrantly Creative comes up with the best ideas!
I am a huge fan of vintage washboards and I would really like one in my home. I grew up with one and I am pretty sure my Mom still has it. At least I hope she does!
I would keep one just like this.......
but then take another one and do this with it
for the laundry room. Such a great idea.

Picture Frame Makeover

I just love Janey Mac's website. She sells amazing vinyl! She posted this little tutorial on a picture frame makeover. So easy and turned out cute! I just got a ton of frames that I spray painted at the thrift store and this gives me some ideas of what to do with them.
