Celebrate with Flourish Card

I have been wanting the "Celebrate with Flourish" for a really long time and I was so excited to use it! Here is a birthday card I made with it for my brother in law. Once I figured out the layers, it was really easy to put together.

Recipe:

Cartridge: Celebrate with Flourish
Paper: Provo Craft and DCWV

Classic Car Card (Say that 3 times fast)

Ok, this is officially my favorite card ever! I love how this classic car turned out for my Dad's Birthday Card. The colors are so much fun and I love the inking around the edges.

Recipe:

Cartridge: Wrap It Up
Paper: Honestly I'm not sure! I got it from Michael's a while back, sorry!
Ribbon: Papertrey Ink
Stamp: My Pink Stamper

Sheep Birthday Card

My Mom is obsessed with sheep, so of course I made her a birthday card with an adorable sheep on it! This is one of my favorite cards ever. I love that you can see the sheeps wool popping out a little bit. The bow is supposed to be on the sheep's neck but I liked it on her head instead.
Recipe:

Cartridge: Country Life
Paper: Bo Bunny and DCWV
Ribbon: Papertrey Ink
Punch: Martha Stewart

Bow Fail

I tried doing a new bow and it was a total fail. It might look ok in the first photo, but then in the second photo you can see that it ripped the paper and the card is on the verge of falling apart. Oh well, now I know not to do it again. I loved the card though! The "Just Because Cards" Cartridge is such a great cartridge, especially for people who love to make cards. The cuts are very simple to layer and turn out so cute!

Recipe:

Cartridge: Just Because Cards
Paper: Bo Bunny and Provo Craft
Ribbon: Papertrey Ink

Sympathy Card

My brother in law's Grandmother died this week and we are close to his family, so I made his mother a sympathy card.
It was my first one but I think it came out nicely.

Recipe:

Cartridge: Cindy Loo
Stamp: My Pink Stamper
Punch: Martha Stewart
Paper: DCWV & Misc Scraps
Ribbon: Papertrey Ink

Give a Hoot Card

I got 4 new Cricut Cartridges for Christmas! B is for Boy, Give a Hoot, Celebrate with Flourish and Life's a Beach. I am a lucky girl! I needed to make my Mother in Law a birthday card, so I tried out Give a Hoot. It's a really fun cartridge with the most adorable animals! I also used my Cuttlebug to emboss the paper behind the hummingbird.

Recipe:

Paper: Provo Craft, Bo Bunny
Ribbon: Papertrey Ink
Stamp: My Pink Stamper
Cuttlebug Folder: Moroccan Screen
Hummingbird cut at 3.75 on my Gypsy

Ketchup and Mustard

About a year ago I saw some ketchup and mustard bottles that had vinyl on them and I knew I needed to make some! I wish I knew what website I saw them on. I just happened to come across the bottles at K-Mart about a month ago and bought 3 sets for Christmas gifts. I love the font! I downloaded it for free and used SCAL to print the vinyl.
 The font name is Battlelines.

Gypsy

I picked out my own present from my husband this year for Christmas, we do this sometimes :) I found a killer deal on a Cricut Gypsy (handheld design studio) and it came with 7 free cartridges! I have really enjoyed playing with it and it's already helped me make cards faster. Here is the first one I made with it. It took me a super long time because I didn't know what I was doing yet, but I love the card!

Recipe:

Paper: Provocraft and Cosmo Cricket
Cartridge: Cindy Loo

My take on a "Different Kind of Wreath"

When my sister Francis saw THIS post she decided she wanted me to make her a "different kind of wreath" for her Christmas present. I made it back in August and it was very hard not to show her before Christmas. I found the frame at Goodwill and painted it. Here is a before picture....
and after......

She loved it!

Puppet Theater for Annalee

When I saw THIS post from Dandee Designs, I knew I wanted to use her tutorial to make a puppet theater for my niece Annalee (age 4). I was really stressed about it because I don't have a lot of experience sewing but it was SO easy!! I think it only took about 30 minutes total to make it. I am excited to see if she likes it!
Here it is on the spring tension rod in our doorway
Here is a shot of the slit where the puppets come out

Card Pack

Here is card pack I made for my friend for her birthday. It has her initial on the front and the inside is empty, so that it can be a card for any occassion. I made 10 that coordinate, using the Cosmo Cricket Vintage Paper Pack. Using SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) it was really easy to print things in multiples and then just put the cards together.

Here are the 10 cards and envelopes in a cello bag

Birthday Card for Phillip

Here is the birthday card I made for my nephew Phillip with the "Wrap it up" Cricut Cartridge. I knew this "gaming remote" would come in handy when I saw it on the cartridge! It was really easy to cut out and I know he is going to love it.

Recipe:

Cartridge: Wrap It Up
Paper: Provo Craft

Country Life Birthday Card

Tonight I made a birthday card for my Aunt using the "Country Life" Cricut Cartridge. I love this cartridge!! My Aunt has a business that includes sewing so I decided the vintage sewing machine would be perfect. I also used this new vintage paper I found at Hobby Lobby that I am obsessed with. It comes in a Double Deck and is made by Cosmo Cricket. Here it is.....
Recipe:

Paper: Paper Trey Ink Cardstock, Patterned Paper is by Cosmo Cricket
Ribbon: Paper Trey Ink
Cartridge: Country Life
Stamp: My Pink Stamper "Friends and Family"

My Pink Stamper Challenge

My Pink Stamper (my crafting hero) is having a color challenge and I made this birthday card for my submission. I have always wanted to enter one of her challenges but I have never had time before. In order to enter you had to make a card with 2 shades of blue, 2 shades of pink and use black. I have a very hard time choosing colors so it was kind of nice to have them chosen already for me :) Click HERE to see all of the other entries! Here is my card....

Merry Christmas Printable

Here is another great FREE printable from At Second Street
I love these!

Christmas Card Holder....

I found this idea in Martha Stewart Magazine and I made one as well, but it wasn't nearly as cute as this one turned out! Mine is just a plain hoop with plain clothes pins! But hey, it does it's job. I thought I would post a picture of this super cute version from A Diamond in the Stuff instead :)

Cookies for Santa

I decided my sister's and their kids needed a Cookies for Santa plate. :) I got the salad plate at K-Mart, it's not breakable which is perfect for kids and it was under $2.00. Win, Win, Win. I had the saying downloaded already (can't remember from which site, sorry) and so I just sized it on SCAL and printed it out with white vinyl. So easy and fast!

If anyone would like to buy this vinyl, I will sell it to you for $5 including shipping. It would be really cute for a neighbor/friend gift. Just email me haleyuns@gmail.com

Birthday Cards

Thankfully I only have 2 birthday's to make cards for in December! Because in January I have 6!! I had fun making these cards with two of my new cricut cartridges.

The first one is for my Grandmother and she loves to knit so I made her a non-traditional birthday card with knitting needles on the front. The knitting needles are from the cartridge "Country Life". I forgot to take a picture of the inside but I used the "Happy Happy Birthday!" stamp from the Everyday Occasions Set from My Pink Stamper.
Her stamps are the BEST by the way, worth every penny!
I love that red paper (can't remember who makes it but I got it at Michael's) and have been waiting to use it. And of course I used my new Cuttlebug to emboss the white paper. I think my grandmother (I call her "Nanny") will love it!

The next birthday in December is Doug's Dad, Jim.
I wanted to try out my new cartridge "Wrap it up"
It has some really great cards in it. I did a simple
Birthday Cake and then used Stickles on the flames.
It made them look so great! I cut the "Happy Birthday" wording out from the cartridge "Zooballoo".

Merry Christmas Sign

I wanted to make a simple "Merry Christmas" sign to put out this year. I took a piece of really thin wood from Hobby Lobby  and modge podged a piece of Bo Bunny Dotted Red Paper (my favorite paper ever) onto it. You can't see the dots in the picture very well but in person they are really cute and subtle. Then I took a black ink pad and "inked" the edges. After that was dry I printed out "Merry Christmas" in black vinyl and that was it, project done! Sorry it's not a very good photo but I think you get the idea. My inspiration was THIS board done by the Crafting Chicks.
