Conversation Heart Banner

I was inspired to make this Conversation Heart Banner after seeing THIS. I have a mirror right inside our front door and I thought it would look great on it.

If you would like to make one, here is what I did.....
Keep in mind if you don't have a cricut, you could easily do this without one!

I cut six hearts out on my Cricut at 5 inches in different colored cardstock. I used the program SCAL to make the phrases and then cut them out using my Cricut as well. To stick the letters to the hearts I used my Zig two way glue pen. Then, I punched holes in the hearts and tied pink polka dot ribbon through the holes. That's it! It was a really easy project and I love how it looks on my mirror.

Hoo Are You?

NightOwlCrafting

This is my first time participating in this fun little linky party from Night Owl Crafting. You answer 5 questions and then link your answers up here. Click the link to see what everyone else's answers are.

1. Do you wear glasses or contacts, if so for how long?

I have worn contacts since I was about 13 when I finally got rid of my glasses. I have a couple of backup pairs of glasses and think they look super cute but they give me a headache from sitting on my ears. My SIL who works for an eye doctor says you have to wear them for 2 weeks straight to get rid of the headache, but I just can't do it.

2. What was your favorite board game as a kid?

Payday. This was a hard question because i LOVE board games.

3. What is a word that you use all the time?

Amazing.

4. What is your favorite day of the week?

I've always loved Wednesday's!

5. Did you graduate high school from the town you grew up in?

No, I moved across the country from Florida to Utah when I was 14 and graduated there.

Felt Flower Tutorial

If you prefer felt flowers to fabric flowers, Snips & Spice has a tutorial for you! They are so pretty and I can't wait to make some! The tutorial is great, it goes step by step with photos and you only need felt and hot glue.

Fabric Flower Tutorial

I think Frosted Designs made this tutorial just for me. Okay, maybe not, but I have really been wanting to make these flowers and had no clue how to do it. I saw other tutorials but they were confusing! This tutorial is simple and makes you feel like you can actually do it! Yay!

Heart pillow stuffed with trash?!

Ok, maybe not stuffed with trash, but stuffed with trash bags! I love this idea from Lemon Tree Creations! She used muslin, felt and trash bags for this adorable pillow. And the love pillow is equally amazing, done with iron on transfer paper.

The hearts are approx 2 1/2  inches and smaller.

I just wanted to say hi to my 49 followers! :) I am so excited you have joined me here at Auntie Lolo Crafts. My blog is looking fabulous since my blog designer (and BFF) Lindsay has been working on it for me. There are still a few more things I need to do to it. Ballard's Knockoff Bulletin Board

When the latest Ballard Catalog came in the mail, I immediately wanted this burlap bulletin board.

Of course my mind started thinking of ways I could make it cheaper. Also, I needed one that was smaller for a perfect spot above my craft desk.

I had just been to Sam's Club and picked up some diet coke (my fav) and they came in this cardboard container. I cut the edges off so that it was flat.

Then, I cut some burlap so that about an inch or so hung over the board. I hot glued 2 sides so that the burlap was tight around the cardboard. Then I glued down the rest.

This is what it looked like after it was all glued down.

I happened to have some furniture tacks handy and so I stuck them in about an inch apart. Because I put the tacks into cardboard, they stick out a little bit. No worries.

I just took some pliers and bent down the sharp parts.

Here it is all done!

It works perfectly to hold little pieces of paper or inspiration for a new project!

Laundry Sign

After I made my sister her laundry sign I decided I needed one too. I had one more cabinet from the Habitat for Humanity store and a perfect spot for it in my laundry room. It was meant to be! :) I used my Cricut to cut out the brown vinyl and that was it. The door was in such good condition all I did was clean it with a wet rag.
