Lucky Plate with Free SCAL File

I found this little white square plate while cleaning my craft area on Saturday that I forgot I had :)
It's good to clean!
I decided to make a St. Patrick's Day decoration out of it because really I have very few. I used SCAL and my Cricut to design and cut THIS file that you can download for free.
I used the shamrock from The Free SVG Blog.
Here is the finished product, super quick and easy!

Green Eyed Girl Crafts Blog Feature

One of my first followers that I didn't know was Vicki from Green Eyed Girl Crafts. She always leaves the nicest comments and encouragement. She's not only nice, she has a great craft blog! I am going to try to do blog features once a month and here is our first one. Vicki was nice enough to answer some questions so that we can get to know her better and she shares her top 3 favorite crafts she has made.

1. What's the story behind the name of your blog?

My mom used to always say that I had the most beautiful green eyes and that I got them from my Grandma Carole (I am also named after her... Vicki Carole) who had passed away before I was born. So I thought Green Eyed Girl Crafts would fit me perfect... When I gave my blog a "make over" it was important for the cute character on my header to look like me... she has big green eyes and her brown hair is pulled back into a pony tail which is what mine looks like as soon as I am home from work.

2. Why did you start your blog?

I love to craft ... and I thought it would be fun to share my ideas with other crafty bloggers who were so willing to share their talents with all of their "blog friends". I love getting to meet so many amazing women over the past year.

3. What are your 3 favorite projects you have made that you featured on your blog?

Family Subway Art - I had the image floating around in my head for several weeks before I finally put it together... I love it. It has all of my family first... middle and last names.

Ghost Family - This one just turned out super cute... and was my first project I actually sold for money.

Dallas Cowboy Cross Stitch Pictures - My family loves the Cowboys... and I wanted to make my dad something special...besides... what can you get the man who has everything? I gave him the "Cowboys" for Christmas and the star for his birthday...

4. What is your favorite type of craft?

Scrapbooking and Cross-stitching

5. What is something odd that not many people know about you?

I'm a hopeless romantic... and think every day should be filled with hearts and love! I have a heart shaped waffle iron and can't help buy anything heart shaped!

Thank you Vicki for answering my questions!

Here are my 3 favorite crafts from your blog....
it was very hard to choose just 3!

Okay so I just keep finding amazing ideas on Lolly Jane Boutique's website! Here is another great tutorial! She bought this gigantic piece of sheet metal for $15 at Home Depot
and turned it into this...

Dry Erase Board

Lolly Jane Boutiques just has the best ideas!
I love this dry erase board that she made for a graduation gift. Here are the photos of what it looked like when she bought it and how it ended up. So smart! And you could use this same idea for so many different occasions.

Pom Pom Tutorial

So I'm a person who needs to be shown things. About a year ago I tried to make some of those cute pom pom's you see hanging from the ceiling and it was a total fail. Now that Lolly Jane Boutique has shown me how it's done, I feel like I can do it now! Head over to their website to see the tutorial.

Framed Stencil Wall Art

I love it when people take something and
make it look TOTALLY different. The Idea Room
did just that with this framed photo....
Are you ready to see what they made? It is crazy good!
Right?! So gorgeous.
The Idea Room is also nice enough to give a full tutorial so that we can make it ourselves!

Barnwood Ladder

"Just Drink A Coke" has got to be the greatest
blog name out there! I love that she took old barn
wood from her families barn and turned it into a ladder
that is no only beautiful but also useful! I just moved
onto my grandfather's old property and there is wood everywhere, I really want to make one of these!

92!

Wow! 92 followers! I am so excited because I have been waiting for the day that we reach 100 so that I can have a huge giveaway! Hopefully by the end of this week we will hit that magic number and I can show you the goodies one lucky follower will be receiving!

This week is going to be a busy one for me. I am watching my 2 nephews (almost 4 and 10 yrs old) all week for my sister. She has 18 tumors in her neck and had a brain tumor taken out last year. Any good thoughts or prayers you want to send her way would be greatly appreciated! Hope you all have a great week and thanks for following my blog!

H Block

Remember THIS post? Well I made something else with all those blocks my Aunt and I cut.

I think it's such a fun little block! All I did was paint it brown and add an "H" with white vinyl. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart. I still have lots of those 4 inch blocks and I am working on coming up with more ideas for them!
