Top Five Tuesday!

Yay! It's almost June! Is anyone else excited for this crazy month to be over?! I'm looking forward to things slowing down a tad and being able to do some fun crafts again!

Here's your Top Five!

1. I couldn't love this Burlap and Doily Flag from At Second Street more if I tried! I must make one, who's with me?
2. This chore ribbon from Whipperberry is genius! Finally a chore chart that is functional and looks great too!
3. I really love old windows. And I love the family calendar that The Rubber Punkin made with one!
4. I never thought to make apothecary jars with old jars and candlesticks but thankfully Homemakin and Decoratin did and shows us how!
5. Learn how to make this beautiful scale card at Dollar Store Crafts, love it!

Praying for Joplin....

My friend Lisa lives in Joplin, MO and orders a lot of my crafts that I make. She recently got remarried to the man of her dreams and has started a new life in Joplin. So happy for her! Thankfully she and her family were okay in the storms but as you know most of Joplin was not. She has been updating facebook daily and I was very touched to read that she and her daughter gave the shoes off their feet to some nurses who had bloody feet from pushing patients. I cannot even imagine what it must be like there. I've been thinking about them so much lately and I wanted to make a print to let them know we love them. And not just them but all the other cities dealing with tornado damage :( Here is the free print I came up with, feel free to right click and save it.

One Month to Win It - Week 3 Project Reveal

 Chicken Wire Frame

*I found out this morning that I am out of the competition now but congrats to everyone who is still in! I had so much fun making crafts every week and competing with some seriously talented ladies!*

This week's theme is my favorite! I love finding great tutorials from crafters and following them! I decided to make a Chicken Wire Frame and I followed The Project Girl's tutorial. Not only is her tutorial really easy to follow but she has free printables for this project as well! The cost for this project for me was free! I already had a frame that I wanted to re-purpose, spray paint & staple gun and I used some of my grandpa's chicken wire. I am thrilled with how it turned out and it makes me want to make more of them! Here are my before and after shots (it's a pretty big change!)

And here are some upclose and personal shots I took so that you can see how cute the printables look on it!

I really love the printables on it but for me it works better to clip my niece and nephew photos on it :) It was my niece/nephew frame but with the mat there were only 6 openings and I have way more nieces/nephews than that! So I am thrilled to have more room on the chicken wire.

What I've been up to!

I mentioned on Tuesday that I started working in my Aunt's cake shop. I thought I would show you some photos of things we've been doing lately. Keep in mind they are taken with my cell phone. I've been having so much fun working in the cake shop and learning new things. I just made a facebook page for the shop so feel free to "like" it (click HEREso that you can see the latest cakes we do. Also HERE is her website, which is fun to look through as well!
I couldn't stop "baby talking" this cake as I made it's cute little tootsies!! Do you blame me?!
Lily Pulitzer Style Cake
Groom's Cake
Upclose photo of the little dude climbing the mountain. It was the first person I ever made out of fondant. They wanted a bandanna on his head, that's what the red thing is.
Florida Gator Groom's Cake. I was thrilled to make this one since I am a huge Gator fan! I painted the logo on fondant after tracing the design on with a knife.
Fun Birthday Cake!
My first character cake. I took this photo before I added the pink lips which made it way cuter!
We do a lot of zebra print cakes, they are fun to make! Here is one of the first ones I did.

Let me know if you enjoyed seeing these photos and I will upload more in the future! I hope you have a great weekend,
I am off to Georgia for my niece Annalee's 5th birthday
party and her ballet recital! So fun!! My sister is doing a ballerina themed birthday party and I can't wait to see all the cute decorations. She always does fabulous birthday parties and I'll be sure to post lots of photos afterwards in case you have a ballerina party coming up and need ideas!
