Initial Button Egg

After posting THIS button egg on my facebook page, my friend asked if I could make her a button egg with her last name initial in the middle. I love doing custom orders, so I was really excited! I knew I needed to make it an 8x10 egg instead of a 5x7 in order to have enough room to put an initial in the middle. I hope she likes it!

Happy Birthday Shauna!

It's my BFF Shauna's Birthday today! We have known each other 10 years, so crazy! We met at Ricks College and were roommates for 1 semester. We had oh so much fun!! Her birthday is today and here is what I made her....
It's a pink shirt (her favorite color) with an inside joke in brown writing. "Are you wearing your roommates clothes" is one of those stories that make us laugh every time! I wish I could have seen her face when she saw it.

Shauna is a teacher and I have been wanting to make her something for her desk for a while. You know I love those 4 inch blocks! I put a "K" on one side for her last name and an apple on the other in vinyl. I had some super cute ribbon from Hobby Lobby that I wrapped around it.

I hope she has a wonderful day!

YW Value Letter

Under My Umbrella made this super creative (and cute) personalized value letter for Young Women's. I know the YW I used to work with would flip for it! Oh, and did I mention that the burlap is printed on? That's not vinyl!

Princess Crown & Batman Mask #2

My BFF Kara's kids are my adopted niece and nephew.
For Christmas I made Mira(2) a felt Princess Crown and Solomon(3) a batman mask. HERE is the link to the princess crown. It was really easy to cut out of felt and sew. I used
my Cricut to cut an "M" out of purple fabric and then just ironed it on. It was really easy to cut the fabric out and
I will definitely be doing it more often.
I made Solomon a batman mask because I gave him a superhero cape a few months ago and I thought it would go together nicely. The store was out of normal black felt but they had a black felt with texture that made the mask look really cool! HERE is a link to the original batman mask post where you can find instructions.

Picture Frame Makeover

I just love Janey Mac's website. She sells amazing vinyl! She posted this little tutorial on a picture frame makeover. So easy and turned out cute! I just got a ton of frames that I spray painted at the thrift store and this gives me some ideas of what to do with them.

Monogrammed Knife Block

I am pretty much sold on any craft that involves spray paint and vinyl. It might be becoming a problem. :)
I can't wait to spray paint my knife block!
The tutorial is at Brown Paper Packages. So easy!

Spruce up your trash can!

Here is another great idea from All Thingz Related. I have never thought to spruce up a trash can but I think this could be super cute in a kids room. Maybe with a solid fabric that matches the room and their initial on it? I really want to try it! She was inspired by this photo from Ballard.
Here is her version....

Please make sure you visit the link above for the tutorial. It's super easy!

Initial Plaque

Anytime I can use Modge Podge, I am happy girl. So I of course love this tutorial on Little Birdie Secrets (one of my all time favorite blogs) on doing an Initial Plaque. I had never seen one but it's so cute and looks very easy. Especially if you have a cricut or silhouette to cut the little initial out. But....don't fear, you don't have to have a cricut to make it. Just get a chipboard letter or something similar!

I love this "J" she did too with the stripe.....
