Batman Pillow

My nephew Brock just turned 4 and is OBSESSED with Batman! It's really cute.

The other day while driving I had this idea to make him a batman pillow out of felt. I have no idea what would make me think of that while driving! So I went home and printed out the batman logo as big as I could make it. Well, that wasn't very big as far as pillows go. I still made it and hand stitched it... What was I thinking?! I need to use my sewing machine more. I think it's really cute but I'm not quite sure what he is going to use it for. I think he is going to love it though!

Picture Ornament

I have always loved this little ornament of me when I was 2. It was made at church in Nursery. I was looking at it this year and I think it's a really great craft to make with kids. It's made out of poster board, tissue paper and elmer's glue.

Placemat Aprons

Dana from MADE is a genius! She has such great original ideas and has tutorials as well! Here is another example of her genius, place mat aprons. It is part of her "Simple Handmade Gifts" series. Love it!

Tic Tac Toe Board from Felt

Serving Pink Lemonade is the felt queen! I love this Tic-Tac-Toe board she helped her son make his brother for Christmas. It would be great for a gift or just to have around the house for when the nephews/nieces come over.

Princess Crown & Batman Mask #2

My BFF Kara's kids are my adopted niece and nephew.
For Christmas I made Mira(2) a felt Princess Crown and Solomon(3) a batman mask. HERE is the link to the princess crown. It was really easy to cut out of felt and sew. I used
my Cricut to cut an "M" out of purple fabric and then just ironed it on. It was really easy to cut the fabric out and
I will definitely be doing it more often.
I made Solomon a batman mask because I gave him a superhero cape a few months ago and I thought it would go together nicely. The store was out of normal black felt but they had a black felt with texture that made the mask look really cool! HERE is a link to the original batman mask post where you can find instructions.

Puppet Theater for Annalee

When I saw THIS post from Dandee Designs, I knew I wanted to use her tutorial to make a puppet theater for my niece Annalee (age 4). I was really stressed about it because I don't have a lot of experience sewing but it was SO easy!! I think it only took about 30 minutes total to make it. I am excited to see if she likes it!
Here it is on the spring tension rod in our doorway
Here is a shot of the slit where the puppets come out

Magnet Paper Dolls with Fabric Clothes!

I am cricut crazy. I love that I can make such cute cards so easily and can cut vinyl. But they do so much more! Creative Critters Cricut Club (say that 3 times fast!) made these Magnet Paper Dolls with Fabric Clothes from the "Everyday Paper Dolls" Cartridge. So impressed!

Craft Stick Snowman

I love this craft idea for kids from Serving Pink Lemonade.
I know my older nephew would love this! And even better is that there is a full tutorial on how to make it.

Batman Belt and Mask

My nephew Brock is crazy about Batman. He even sleeps with a Batman cape on! For Christmas I made him a batman mask and belt. I found the pattern for the mask at Living with Punks. It was really easy to make and that's saying a lot considering I cannot sew. After I made the mask I decided to make him a belt too. I didn't have a pattern for this one so I just googled "batman's utility belt" and looked at it. I made a little pocket on the side with a batman tool in it attached to ribbon. It's the tool batman uses to throw up on buildings and then climp up them. :) I think they turned out great and I cannot wait to see his face!

Picture Frame Makeover

I just love Janey Mac's website. She sells amazing vinyl! She posted this little tutorial on a picture frame makeover. So easy and turned out cute! I just got a ton of frames that I spray painted at the thrift store and this gives me some ideas of what to do with them.

Super Duper Dough

I found this cute idea on Yay! I Made It. She has a recipe for it that she got from Skip to My Lou. There is also a free printout for the outside of the old frosting container.

Puppet Theater

What a great idea! Dandee Designs has a tutorial on how to make this simple puppet theater. I can only sew a straight stitch and half the time I cannot even accomplish that, but I could even make this! And I will be. I don't know who I am giving it to yet but I think it would be a great Christmas present. One of the things I love most about it, is that it's for babies and toddlers as you will see in the photos. I also love that this is a really inexpensive project. You could use an old sheet or scrap fabric to make it. Also you could make it simple like this one, or embellish it!

Camping Butt-kets

I love nap time shared a tutorial on how to make Camping Butt-kets. If you camp a lot, you are definitely going to want to make one of these. I wish I would have had it at girls camp! This is what you start with....
You can get these for free at Sam's Club or Costco in the bakery. They are frosting tubs. Once you decorate it and make padding for the lid, you can fill it with food, drinks or anything else you need to store.
